What to Expect During Middle School 2020 Offers?
Middle School offers and waitlist information will be available soon or you to view on your child’s MySchools account. Please make sure you have created a MySchools account as soon as possible to view your child’s middle school notifications. This is necessary, as if a waitlist offer is offered to your child, that school will contact the family directly, so make sure your information is up to date on your child's MySchools account.
Students will be automatically placed on the waitlist of any school listed higher on their application than the school where they received an offer.
Students will be able to accept waitlist offers (within 7 calendar days of the offer), or add/remove themselves to/from waitlists (that they are eligible for) through their MySchools account.
Each middle school will manage their own waitlist. If and when seats become available, middle schools will make offers directly to families (through receiving emails that direct them to accept/decline waitlist offers in MySchools, or calling families directly).
Where to Find Your Middle School Offers?
Schools and families can now view offers online in MySchools account.
Families will also receive a copy of their middle school offer letters via electronic mail.
Offer letters include a child’s middle school placement and information about waitlists.
Middle school waitlists are still pending. Once waitlists are available, parents will be able to join new waitlists, and middle schools will be able to begin making waitlist offers if they have available seats.
For waitlist questions, please email our new Waitlists@schools.nyc.gov inbox and make sure to include the student's name and ID number.
For our middle school contacts, please email our Guidance Counselors: Dan Levine at email@example.com or Liann Palmieri at firstname.lastname@example.org or our Pupil Account Secretary: Ms. Iemma at email@example.com
